We had a fabulous trip to Melbourne. It had changed beyond recognition since we lived there but it was fun catching up with family and chilling at the beach for a couple of days. The weather wasn't suitable for sunbathing but it was warm enough to sit out on the balcony and watch the waves roll in.
I arrived back to discover I have taken another step on my publication career path. Having subbed my novel, Speak to me of Abduction to Carina Press a while ago I was delighted to receive an email asking for a rewrite and resubmit. No guarantee of publication but an editor thinks it has enough merit to ask me to try to make it something they would want to publish.
Maybe going back to the day job tomorrow won't seem so bad after all.
